Etienne Fort comes from a grower family set up in Bouriege, a small village located on the foothills of the Pyrénées near Limoux.

In 2011, he decided to set up for himself selecting from the family vineyard the plots that he wanted to play with. Etienne released his first wines in 2013, both Crémant and Blanquette.

He is now farming around 10 hectares organically and his plots are located in Bouriège and Roquetaillade, between 400 to 500 meters above sea level, having the highest vineyard blocks of the appellation.

The altitude of his vineyard (cool nights and moderate day t°c) combine with the terroir (deep clay and calcareous soils), as well as the non-dosage for the sparkling cuvées, allows him to produce wines marked with amazing freshness and finesse.

Both Blanquette and Crémant are brut nature, at disgorgement time Etienne is toping up the fizz with the same wines.
